- The Outpost in the Burbs
- Bob McParland was instrumental in creating The Outpost in the Burbs, a coffeehouse concert series in Montclair, New Jersey. Formed in 1987, the coffeeehouse has featured the top performers in contemporary folk and popular music with folk music influences. It is currently run by a board of directors, including Steve Cutaia who was among the Outposts' founders.
